ABOUT THE CLUB
Pontardawe Bowls Club was founded in 1962 and has had its home at King George V Park in Pontardawe ever since. We share the green and pavilion with our good friends and neighbours, Alltwen RFC Bowls Club.
We play our Saturday afternoon matches in the Neath and District League (for the 2016 season we are in Division 2). We play in the Cwmtawe League against our near neighbours in the Swansea Valley on a Tuesday evening. The club also participates in the Welsh Bowling Association's national Carruthers Shield competition.
New members are always welcome, regardless of age, experience or ability. We have a number of qualified coaches available to help improve anyone's game.
Following a home match we are generally to be found at Pontardawe Rugby Club enjoying a drink and a fine sausage and chips. We remain particularly grateful for the support and hospitality extended to us by our friends at the Rugby Club and for the support we receive from our sponsors: Meirion Davies of DNA Facilities Management; Springdew Packaging in Ystradgynlais; Peter Lynn & Partners Pontardawe; Pontardawe Town Council; and Cilybebyll Community Council.

Club Sponsor Meirion Davies and Club Chairman Alun Jones look on as Treasurer Ian Phillips explains to members that he's punted the contents of the Club's bank account on the number 3 dog in the 7:30 race at Towcester.
